Tasker for android app review This week i'm gonna review "tasker" for android. The main aim of the app is Automate everything from settings to photos, SMS to speech. There are lot of built in actions that you can use but its pretty hard to learn using this but once you get learn how to use it then its is very useful.This is one of the most useful apps that you could find on Google play.For beginners watch the videos below(videos below was neither created nor uploaded by me,all credits go to Armando Ferreira) What Does Tasker Do ? Tasker performs Tasks (sets of basic actions) based on Contexts (application, time, date, location, event, voice command, gesture, shortcut, widget press/timer expiry). Contexts are ordered into groups and connected to tasks in units called Profiles. When all of the contexts in a Profile are active, its Enter task runs. When it's no longer active, its Exit task runs. Example Profile Contexts: (Application) Browser (Time) 9:00 - 17:00 Enter Task: (Setting) WiFi On Flash: "Happy Browsing" Exit Task: Flash "Goodbye" When the application Browser is started betweeen 9:00 and 17:00 WiFi is automatically enabled and "Happy Browsing" flashes up briefly. When Browser is no longer running, or the time is no longer between 9:00 and 17:00, "Goodbye" flashes up briefly and WiFI is restored to its previous setting (because Wifi is a settings action, which are automatically restored). ok let me show you a simple Wifi on and off while you enter your browser. Step:1 Go to the tasker app and create a new profile, in this case its wifi so name it wifi. Step: 2 Then a wndow will appear for you to choose what you want to do, so select application. Step: 3 Then it will show your application list, select you browser (you can even use 3rd party apps) Step: 4 then you need to set the task, so select the new task button. Step: 5 Create a new task and name it as,name it as wifi on. Step: 6 A new window will appear so select the + to add a an action. Step: 7 Select Net. Step: 8 Select wifi. Step: 9 Set it to on (in this pic it is off set it to on) Step: 10 select and hold the wifi on button till a menu pops up. Step: 11 Select Add exit task, this because after you exit your browser it automatically switches the wifi off. Step: 12 Creat a new task wifi off. Step: 13 So you need to create an action so select the +.(in the pic it shows Task Edit / WiFi on because i used the same pic,sorry) Step: 14 Select Net Step: 15 Select Wifi. Step: 16 Set it to off this time Step: 17 Exit the app and if your wifi is turned on switch it off.(See the green circle the wifi is turned off in my phone) Step: 18 Go to your app list and select your browser. Step: 19 Then its done it automatically switches it on and you never have to switch wifi on before opening your browser. There are many uses of this app (lots and lots). What Does Tasker Do ?

Tasker performs Tasks (sets of basic actions) based on Contexts (application, time, date, location, event, voice command, gesture, shortcut, widget press/timer expiry).

Example Profile
